Due to a long history of abuse for spam, phishing, and other unsavory or illegal activity, incoming invites from the matrix.org homeserver are being disabled on Joe's Site. If you have an account on matrix.thisisjoes.site you will be unable to receive invites to rooms or DMs from users on matrix.org after December 31st, 2024. Outgoing invites are not affected. If you have contacts on matrix.org who will be affected by this change, please encourage them to choose a different homeserver.
If you'd like to raise an objection to this change, feel free to leave a comment. However, I'm unlikely to change my mind; I've been considering this for a long time.
